Mrs. Medina is a butterfly lover, extremely interested in learning more about technology, likes to read, dance, socialize, and spend time with her family. Education is one of the greatest gifts that Mrs. Medina treasures because it has allowed her the opportunity to overcome many challenges in life. Mrs. Medina believes that education creates opportunities, opportunities provide choices, and choices give you power in your life. Mrs. Medina maintains a blog at http://mrskaymedina.blogspot.com/ for additional educational resources or donate to help her classes at http://www.donorschoose.org/mrskaymedina.

Mr. and Mrs. Medina celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in February of 2010. They have two teenage daughters and reside in Mays Landing, NJ. The Medina family loves to vacation, watch movies, and play DVD games. Mr. Medina is the cook in the family and Mrs. Medina is definitely the bargain shopper.

The oldest daughter (Jaz) is interested in becoming a forensic scientist and the youngest daughter (JJ) wants to become a veterinarian. Jaz and JJ are high school students. Jaz loves to read and watch scientific television programs. She is also interested in eating, sleeping, and DS lite. Jaz participates in many school activities like track and community outreach. JJ likes to watch the animal planet, but she is not a television watcher like her sister. Over the years, they have had cats, hamsters, turtles, and fish because of JJ’s interest in animals.

Finally, the Medina family has two male dogs named Knuckles and Luis, a female dog named Brownie, and five cats named Fysty, Jennifer, Cutie, Precious, and Melanie.

The butterfly is a symbol of life. Through life we change and develop ourselves for the better. Some day we will be like the butterfly and soar to achieve the opportunities that are available to enrich our lives. Change can be beautiful when we know where we are going. Use education to prepare yourself to be diverse like the many butterflies that exist. Flutter by those things that do not direct you toward your goals. Leave butterfly kisses to acknowledge your thanks to those who have helped you achieve your goals. Remember the butterfly can only go through its lifecycle once so be prepared for challenges since they make your migration change its course. In summary, you are the butterfly that knows its way and stay on course because one day you will create your own heavenly garden of butterflies.
